Fortunately, I may already have a mould for a tender top that is at least the correct type to be a basis for the streamlined non-corridor tenders. For ultimate accuracy the extent of the fairings around the top of the tender at the relevant date will have to be studied, and individual models altered to suit.
I think you are right about the first two hanging on to their original tenders after being rebuilt to the droop snoot style.

Proof that work is being done. Somebody might like to suggest captions for these pictures, probably avoiding the use of four-letter nouns ending in ock.

Whilst the pictures are no longer in place, this viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2443&start=735#p42029 indicates that it is almost six years now since I produced the Toad E master parts that eventually led to the production of the moulds and castings for my first resin rolling stock offerings. How time flies!

Not truly wanting to divert attention from your P2 alterations, but if you could hark back to your researching the GCR bogie coal wagons, Graeme, did you come across any information regarding a suitable brake van to go with the Baldwin and its train?

Despite continuing to have my time soaked up by various annoying aspects of my "real job", I have actually managed to get a bit further on with the P2 projects. On Friday evening I managed to pour the outer part of the mould for the front section of 2002's body. Yesterday morning things started to get a bit fraught. I had realised that my supply of mould making compound was running critically low, but when I did a belated rough calculation of what I would need for the core piece for the mould, I was fairly sure that I didn't actually have enough. In addition to that, I also noticed that while busy, with mind simultaneously struggling with the problems of the real job, and while also a little out-of-practice in the matter of making moulds for whole loco bodies or major portions of them, I had failed to include anything in my mould design that would act as a reliable depth-stop for the core-piece when placed in the empty outer mould. Aaaargh! The frustration!!! I had to start hacking pieces off the newly cured outer mould in order to adapt the design, creating even greater need for further moulding compound, and of course the mould doesn't now look quite as "professionally done" as it might have, but the prospects for the castings are still good. For once, fate then gave me a helping hand. Geoff "Sutterby Junction" Byman, of this parish, rang me up about another matter altogether, but conversation revealed that he had some mould making compound in his workshop and he was prepared to be nice to me. As Geoff lives only a couple of miles away from me I was soon at his door. So to Geoff I must say a big "thank you"!
After being pulled out the unmentionable by Geoff, I was able to pour the other parts of the mould yesterday afternoon, and this morning I was able to inject some resin. The only picture I have so far shows the casting with the outer mould peeled away but the core piece still in place. I wanted more time for the casting to harden before pulling out the core piece. Inspection so far gives me cause for optimism. The only minor defect I can see is an air bubble in the buffer beam which can be filled from the rear once I have access.
