A5 number on cabside and bunker

A5 number on cabside and bunker

I have a photo of A5 tank 69804 and on blowing it up I notice that not only is the loco number on the cabside, but it is also vertical on the corner of the bunker. I wondered if this was a one off or a common thing? Anyone have any ideas?
