I wonder if anyone can fill in some details from long ago, back in 1959 I was a member of the Northern Railfans Club and I remember going on a weekend trip to Scotland, I think it was either Feb or March 1959 and I departed the old Manchester Exchange station around 22.30 on on a Saturday night and I think we arrived in Carlisle about 01.30 or 02.00 were I met up with members of the club and went to sheds 68a,68b,68e,and 12a and then onto the sheds in the Glasgow area 65a, b, c, d, e & g then onto 67a and 66a,b,and c, and finally 66d with its subshed, I vaguely think I copped about 700 locos with this being my first trip upto Glasgow but unfortunately I have lost all my notes but would love to know the exact date and times of the visits if anyone out there has a good memory, regards T A.
