Ladykillers

Post by notascoobie »

A quick heads up that the film "The Ladykillers" is on UK television tomorrow morning (16th Nov) and if you haven't seen it you need to! Not just its cute 1950s style but for some excellent clips of ex LNER steam and railway infrastructure just outside Kings Cross. It's on More 4 at 1120 am.

The Ladykillers film has been re-released on dvd in recent times with a few extras included on it although for some fine 'out-takes' of steam hauled expresses pulled by A4s & A3s slogging up through Belle Isle and pass Copenhagen Junction in 1955 (with Goods And Mineral Junction box along with the North London line in the background) try and get a copy of the dvd or video of Trains On 35mm Vols 1 & 2 released on Video 125 back in the early 1990s it's still available and there is about 7-8 minutes worth of filmed out-takes that weren't included in the final cut of the film.
