Dean Sidings GCR L1

Post by mossie »

Has anyone built one of these resin kits. I have just purchased one, but it does not come with any instruction of how to adapt and fit it to the Hornby ex Jinty chassis.

I have sent Dean Sidings an email but have had no reply. Can anyone supply a set if they exist.

Regards

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I am new to this forum and not sure where to post this, so here goes my problem

I am going to Warley show in a couple of weeks and would like to get a B17/5 resin body from Dean Sidings, but all attemps to contact them have failed, the emails just bounce back, the phone number doesnt allow inward calls and as yet, havent had a reply to either of the snail mail addresses. All the above details are gained from ukmodelshops web site and via google

Can anyone please help me, I am getting itchey fingers to complete this project as I have a chassis and the tender already

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Hi Brian

I have had the same problems as you. I ordered a GCR L1 kit back at the beginning of July and it only arrived last week, with no instructions, see my request above. I sent 2 letters requesting an update on my order, but did not get a reply.

I had a note in the parcel to say they were sorry. They said they had lost my contact details and also had a computer crash.

The resin kit is quite good, but I do not think I will be ordering from them again if that is the level of their customer care.

I have now got on order for collection the body shell I wanted, a very big thankyou to Morgan for PM me his correct phone number. Dave (man behind Dean Sidings) was very apologetic that I was having trouble getting hold of him and said he would be in contact today with the two web sites that have his out of date addresses & phone numbers. He was worried how many other customers he will have lost because of this.

Thanks again

Mossie,
I have located the instructions but it could be a while before I could photocopy the relevant page-let me know if you want it though and I'll put it on the to do list!

Hi Rob

Yes I do still need the instructions, no reply from Dean Sidings. When you get round to it let me know the costs involved and I will send you the money.

Thanks very much for your help.

Best regards
