NCB structure - Backworth

Post by Cuddie Headrigg »

Does anyone know what the building is in this picture? https://ironroad.smugmug.com/POSTS/i-gD99c7W/A Church/castle-like in appearance, but is part of the NCB set-up. Anyone know about this structure?

Seems the building is visible in the distance in the photograph at https://www.flickr.com/photos/36891793@N08/8170079826, and the comments say that it is the B Pit washer.

Thanks John. Just the ticket and thanks for the link to Billys' site - a true labour of love.
