Can anyone tell me when the K3s were withdrawn was it round about 1965.

Withdrawn from about 1959 onwards and all gone by the end of 1962 I think.

According to the RCTS loco series Part 6A (and as Flamingo said), the last 20 Class K-3 locos were withdrawn in December 1962.

However, on withdrawal in 1962, three were used as stationary boilers; 61835 (condemned 9/63), 61912 (condemned 3/65) and 61943 (condemned 10/65).

Were the 3 stationary boilers replaced by B1s and where were they located.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
