Hello everyone,

Has anyone heard from Blink Bonny recently?
I have sent him a couple of messages over the last few weeks.
The first one has gone out of my "Out" box but I've had no reply, the latest one is still there.

I did wonder if he was perhaps ill or maybe away?

Thanks in anticipation of someone knowing if he is ok, I'm getting a little concerned.

I think BB has a habit of coming & going Iron Duke?. Sometimes he's on here for weeks at a time then he goes quiet for awhile.

He's probably in a chippy in Barnsley as i write this eating a deep fried Mars bar, chips & mushy peas.

Ok thanks for the feedback, glad he is alright.

I assume that because my message is still in my "out box" he has not logged on here for some time?

I was just trying to find out how my Ivatt Atlantic model is progressing, I'm sure he will pick up my message at some point.

Ay up!

i have been neglecting posts on here, although I have checked moderations daily. Honest.

I have been experiencing some bad shakes in my hands so typing is a problem. Thank God for spell checker!

I get the results from the Dr this afternoon so I hope to be back to some modelling soon. Mole End needs some repair and that Atlantic isn't going to build itself, but, after burning myself a couple of times with the iron, leaving for a while was all I could do.

Thanks for the concern folks.

I wil be back soon.

Ay up!

The blood results are in. Apparently, my Vitamin D levels are so low they barely register on the scale! Seasonal Aphasic Disorder strikes again!

This does explain the shakes and generally low feeling. Taking the tablets* and waiting for the relief to kick in.

Vitamin D seems to be the current doctor's test fad, leading to supplements for just being a little low. Last time I had a medical it came back on the report that I was low and should take vitamins (the dr never called or booked a follow up, so perhaps he thought it was hogwash too). Perhaps it was an overcast day, because it is hard to imagine I'm low on vitamin D when every morning I walk the dog in shorts in a sunny climate. (how the dog gets to be in shorts, is a different subject

Good morning all

25-y-o Highland Park is a dream these days.

The last remaining 18-y-o and 15-y-o evaporated last weekend when the G/F's son visited.

I only have a bottle of the 12-y-o left apart from 1/3 bottle of cask strength 1988 bottled 2000.

Perhaps I should include the GNoSR in my interests as it served several distilleries (not Highland Park).

I think 12yr is all we've managed to find over here and our bottle is getting low. Orkneys were no-one's territory, but the GNSR did much of the supply work for Scapa. So much traffic they had to buy some of the last steam engines Manning Wardle ever produced...

The latest addition here is a Lagavulin 16 yr - Samuel 'bought' it for his Mum (I don't think the nurses and midwives in the hospital noticed...). That definitely isn't LNER territory!

Lagavulin '16' is arguably the best of the Islay whisky I have tasted. I am no expert, but well done Sam!

Nothing LNER about it as you say.

EN, a 25 yo Highland Park will be the equivalent of a whole rake of Dan Pinnock's kits on ebay, I think.
