6000 King George V

Post by silver fox »

Has anyone seen it recently?
Evening Star was displayed at 1968 and all that, then moved to Locomotion, then taken to Steam at Swindon, where under cover of darkness, King George V was put back on, for the trip to York, only it don't seem to have arrived here yet.

According to the Railway Herald, KGV is still at Swindon because of transportation issues.

It is expected to move to York in October.

Saw KG5 being transported north on the A43 near Brackley on Thursday morning. Just went on line to see where it was going. Should be in York by now.

Sorry, went down Sunday on my way out, and it was in the prep bay.

Bought British Railway Modelling today, and in the back there is an advert for Steam at Swindon showing King George V...Doh!
