If there was a thanks button I would have worn it out by now Mick!! :D

Over time I've been compiling a catalogue of my railway models. It's a bit morbid perhaps, but if anything happened to me, I want my family to know that my model collection includes some pretty special and unique locomotives that have real value.

My Mick B commissions are the "stars of the show":
A3 2751 Humorist, A3 2750 Papyrus, A2/2 Lord President, B12/3 8572, A4 4483 Kingfisher, D16/3 8810 , A2/1 3696, B17/4 Manchester United 2862, V2 4771 Green Arrow, V2 3660, A1/1 4470 Great Northern, K3 2934 (lining), corridor tenders and finally the dynamometer car!

Just having a moment admiring them all! :D

More rtr bashing and a repaint.

This a Bachmann B1 Loco renamed as Inyala a York engine. This paired with a some much better quality spare/damaged Hornby B1 Tender.

As Hornby have announced a Green B1 and even then in BR lettering at £155 I thought this was a much cheaper alternative at about £50 . If a damaged Hornby B1 comes up in the future the Loco will be replaced due to the dire chassis on the Bachmann.

Makeover on another Bachmann V2 body for the latest Bachmann V2 chassis.

New Handrails, Vacumn return pipe, Chimney,Dome, Shifting valve, Hornby A3 Door, Lamp irons and Sand fillers. More detail to be added after painting and lining.
Please ignore the banana bend effect that is the camera not the model.

As this is based on the original body type, new mountings had to be made for the rear and the mock front frames shortened.

Sorry to jump back, but what bare metal foil do you use for the chrome strips on coronation A4s? I'm going to try and apply a pair to one of mine. Excellent V2 by the way.
