Mick, going back to your Thompson coaches , can you give a clear description of the underframe mods you made? Including tools.

Battery Boxes removed on one side using Dremel and thin metal cutting disc plus needle files clean up. I have also fitted latest Bachmann NEM type bogies since photos.. As the floor is flush with the solebars on the Bachmann's I couldn't see any point in trying to change anything else.

It is a very old Malvern Models ebay find.

Hello Mick and various other contributors: having read through all 64 pages of this thread over the last week or so, may I say how absolutely wonderful the modelling is and how inspirational it all is to those of us trying our first projects; please keep posting! :D

Fine models, though not sure I like the prototype post-war coaches.
Most subjects, models and techniques covered in this thread are now listed in various categories on page1

Dec. 2018: Almost all images that disappeared from my own thread following loss of free remote hosting are now restored.
