You don't happen to know when the (theoretical) publication date is do you?
I might plan a trip to Smiths (the only source local to Durham that I've found stock it) if the V2 is likely to be at all useful.
Difficult to see how it can be though - unless they have pioneered an entirely new moulding.

Just bought a couple of the latest release. It looks like a V2 but not quite. Boiler is the wrong shape as well as being oversize in the diameter. There should be more of a taper to it but I shall check it against the Bachmann version, from which it has been copied. Oh and that rear Cartazzi truck needs to go! pics up later when I am at home.
Don't alert the authorities until the series is complete, for what they are these are great models, warts and all! I want the set and am very interested to see what's coming in the future!
Between Bachmann regularly having the V2 loco and tender bodies available for sale as separate spares over the years, and Replica offering the B1 body and complete running tender as a spare, I was rather expecting that any modifiers would have got the parts already...
Checked it out in Asda this morning, only two on the shelf but they both had a splash of silver at the left side rear of the tender.
It was in green but just had white stripes on the loco whilst the tender had the white surround stripe with the white/black/white stripes inside it. Handrails were moulded on loco and tender and the loco's wheels were black. Might be worth £8.99 to someone.
