LNER departmental livery

Post by shedman »

I have read that the LNER departmental livery was Oxford Blue. Obviously some stock straight after grouping would still have been in the livery of their previous company, but by the late 1930s I imagine many would have been repainted to standard LNER colour. I`m particularly interested in the type of mess and tool vans used with breakdown and ballast trains. Would these have been painted in this Oxford Blue?
