Very nice pics Trev,

Next to Grantham, Ruddington was one of my favourite haunts in the early sixties.

We would watch the constant stream of 9F's on freight, the Bournemouth - York working, Brits on the "Fish" etc.
Also remember a variety of other locos including Scots, Jubilees, 8F's and the early diesel services 37's etc.
It will be good if they can eventually get the two ends of the GCR joined together.

Does anyone have any news on all of that?

When we went to Loughborough in mid-March for the autocar visit, the GC station had parts of a bridge in a 'field' next to the station. I heard that they had been reclaimed from one of Network Rail's projects and were earmarked for one of the gaps.
