(4)5699 Galatea emerged from Carnforth on 28/03/13. She's wearing a rushed sprayed coat of WCRC maroon, with black frames and 5690's plates. The various detail differences distinguishing 5699 and 5690 are evident, 5690's plates being a ruse. Final livery for either is not known.

It's good to see this ex- Barry gas axed Jubilee finally in steam, even if she is a midland region locomotive.

I must admit I don't know much about Jubilees so I don't know. If 45699 steams anything like either of Riley's fives, then she's alright in my book! :)

I managed to poke around every steamer sat at Grosmont, and I must admit, in terms of visibility and ease of movement in and around the loco, the fives come on top.......

S15 and Repton are just awful, but the B1 does come out over the K1

Saying that, it's still b####y awful oiling the things between the frames.

Anyway, back to 45699, turns out the 1st April run was..... you guessed it, an April fool :evil:

She came out on the 28th, and never emerged yesterday
