Headboards have appeared on several NRM Locos, the only odd one is Evening Star which is about a platform 4 Theatre play on all change in the 60's.

Very bizzare, a complete change of policy?

Thats a great shot of evening star. She looks almost majestic sitting there and as though at a moment ready to return to steam. Not that it is very likely and such a young loco, the youngest in the collection (?). I don't think i have really thought of the removal of steam as such a tragedy until right now.

God i'm getting old and sentimental

Cheers for the pics, haven't been to the NRM in ages - do you have any more photos of your visit? Interesting to see the LMS Diesel shunter next to the midland compound, don't think i've ever seen that before

I live here, and the NRM is my second home EG. Food, Drink, toilets...oh and free!

What do you want to see?

Oh right, that's handy then! Anything North Eastern Railway really, and a couple of general views now that everything seems to have been moved around there (must have been at least three years since I was last year)
