CLASS 89 Flying Badger for scrap

Post by 61650GTFC »

I know strictly it isnt LNER but its a 125mph east coast main line loco. 89001 formelly Avocet (AKA flying badger) is up for sale and unless the AC loco group raise the required funds it will be scrapped.

Maybe this livery would improve the chances of preservation ?

I mention this amusing site here because they are actively promoting the class 89 preservation appeal.

The good news is that the AC locomotive group has completed the purchase of 89001 just before Christmas.

Hoping for more good news in 2007, I wish you all a happy new year.
