A4 Failure

Post by Deltic18 »

Evening
1Z87 08.05 Poole - Bristol TM with 4492 aka 60019 Bittern, had a slight problem today en route as it was declared a failure at Westbury apparantly out of coal! It had to be assisted by a 67 to Bristol TM. There were no reported problems on the return journey.

They can't have loaded her up with much then, as those tenders can easily hold enough coal for a trip from Kings Cross to Newcastle!

Probably more due to the poor quality of coal you get these days.
