Hi Trev
Impressed, as usual. Particularly liked the collection of 4F photos. It appears that you had a nice day, weatherwise. However, please think of those of us who are in the wrong job and the wrong end of the country

Hi Ian,
Yes, I did have a good day, both weather and trains, and, I always think about those less fortunate than me.
Cheers Trev

How nice to see some of my "Old Friends" from my childhood up and about.
Many thanks.

Hi Trev
Thanks for the kind thoughts
Ferrybridge - Please be kind. I was after the 'sympathy vote' and I got it
BB - I assume the 'old friends' are the locos. I don't recall going to school with anyone called Blink Bonny!!

They were the locos indeed.
I was in a fortunate position as a child. Whereas my railway-minded mates were sat on the platty end at Leeds watching diesels every week, sometimes I got to ride on these beasties because my brother was a driver at the Worth Valley. They completed my railway education!

I was there for the first time on Wednesday and travelled on the railbus, then behind the Black 5. Yorkshire pudding and a pint at the Bay Horse in Oxenhope, super little exhibitions at Oxenhope and Ingrow - really good value for a fourteen pound day rover ticket. It was also nice to see the kids cabbing the Black 5 at Oxenhope.
