BR 9F No.92214 is unveiled as...

BR 9F No.92214 had the name plates 'Cock o' the North' unveiled today at Grosmont Station before taking the 10:30 departure to Pickering.

Also in service this Good Friday was 45407, 45428, 45212 & D5061.

According to the NYMR website:
The name was suggested by Valerie Walter, the Company Secretary of PV Premier, whose grandfather served with the Gordon Highlanders during the First World War, with no prior knowledge of the name having been used by the LNER in the 1930s...

Although not writing as many books as Robert Adley the also late Bob Cryer MP was also in print, about the GN lines over "the Alps" between Keighley and Halifax/Bradford via Queensbury triangle. He also used to give excellent talks and slide shows on the route.

I agree. Having had the privilege of doing a presentation to an ASLEF weekend school with him, he was very knowledgeable and a nice guy as well.
