Track Plans

Finally! I eventually got around to having frames made for the Track Plans I got from the NRM for Newcastle Central (1921) and Gateshead: King Edward Bridge Junction to High Street Junction (1921). Cost a bit, though. The plans were emailed to me as TIFF files from the NRM Archives and I had them printed here in Kuwait on A1 size paper. Newcastle Central came out (once I had fitted the two sheets together) as 126cm by 51 cm. Gateshead came out as 150cm by 49cm......quite large. However, they are now hanging on my wall alongside my artwork. Fellow teacher said my apartment was more like a Railway museum than accommodation. COOL!!!

Now....just got to get around to Tynemouth, Borough Gardens....and Tyne Yard (maybe not enough room on the walls).

Well done Malcolm! Tyne Yard was white print 1018A, used as a reference many times whilst filling out accident reports!

I would like plans of Retford before the dive under was built.
Has anyone any ideas where I can get them.

A visit to the NRM archives is recommended. Don't call or email....if you have the time go in person. The book of track plans is easy to find and peruse. The staff have so many items that it's easier and quicker to look yourself.
