Reports elsewhere that 2 8fs have been repatriated to the UK.
Arriving at Bristol around Christmas.
1 number 45166 is to go to Barry in South Wales the other 45170 is to go to Shildon and Hepscott near Morpeth.
One interesting thing is that 554/ 45170 received tender No 9433. This was recovered from SS Pentridge Hall after four locos were lost over the side in a storm. It was paired to 8068 (WD N0. 622) which was one of the locos lost. So if 45170 still has the same tender a little bit of LMS history will be returning home.
Where did this ship Pentridge Hall go down?
Was anything else recovered?

Re: Turkish 8fs
The SS Pentridge Hall did not sink, the 4 locos were jettisoned overboard after they broke loose during a storm, somewhere in the Irish Sea. The tenders were lashed down separate from the locos, and these along with 8 other locomotives, were removed from the ship after she had returned to LIverpool.
