The ACLG's mainline registered locos 86101 and 87002 were employed on a West Anglia test train from 1st Nov. to 3rd Nov. and visited Hertford East on 2nd Nov. Does anyone know if this is the first time this class has worked over the branch? Did anyone take any photographs? On the 4th Nov. 86701 and 86702 took over did they work into Hertford East?

Re: Electric Locos at Hertford East
Special workings did occasionally cause AC electric locomotives to stray away from their more usual territory. Here, for example, is a picture I took in 1986 of 87023 at Craigendoran, on the ex-NBR/LNER route from Glasgow Queen Street LL to Helensburgh Central (the non-electrified line diverging to the left of the picture is the West Highland line).
So - did anyone dare tell Stephenson, "It's not Rocket science"?
