Joynes engine driver Barnsley

Hi
Can any one help, I am searching for the records of a Fredrick Joynes, he worked on the steam engines as a driver, this was in the 1940s/50s.
He worked out of Barnsley I havent much information to go.

PS this is a long shot but does any one know any thing about finding the persnonal records of the Auxilary fire service in Sheffieid in the second World War.
