Yes, some fascinating pictures there. The collection for Aylesbury 1950 was of particular interest to me as I also remember that place at that time. Some of his loco identities are a bit out - the 4-4-2T is actually an N5. They worked the shuttle service to Princes Risborough after the WR 14XXs and auto-trailers moved away. Often travelled with an N5 and 2 coaches when we visited relatives near Monks Risborough halt, a little short platform made out of wooden sleepers. Also the 'L2' is really A5 69804. The A5s worked suburban services out of Marylebone before the Thompson L1s arrived in 1949-50. The Neasden drivers seemed quite proud of their new engines though - on arrival at P. Ris. it was often possible to cadge a cab ride on a brand new L1 while they ran round and prepared to return to London. I got my first footplate ride that way. But there were still some GC 2-6-4Ts around at Aylesbury in 1950 - L3 class 690XX series. Great big hulking things they were, always looked so heavy that the weight had crushed their wheels down to a smaller size.
I wonder how many more gems like these are hidden away out there on the internet.
