Does anyone know what the attched is? It is out the back of the NRM, and I can't find anything in the current Beanos about a wreck moving to York!

Could it be Hudswell Clarke 0-4-0 saddle tank 'Handyman' (573/1900) recently purchased by the NRM, according to the RM, because of its 3ft gauge ? The engine evidently originally worked in the ironstone industry and came to York from Derbyshire. It is to be cosmetically restored for display as an example of a gauge and a type often used on contractor's railways in connection with large public works, such as dams or reservoirs. Arrived York on July 29th according to the report.

Hi All,

It certainly would appear to be Handyman after comparison with this photo of said Loco.

I'm sorry guys you are all wrong. The dirty great lump is BR class 20. No idea about the rusty lil steamer though. (I am really sorry i resisted it for 2 days then the dirty beer finally talked me into it).

Good digging there, Andy. But the burning question for me, without the benefit(?) of the dirty beer, is why are we being instructed by that green sign to run headlong into a solid object?
