Tornado in bits

Post by burnie »

Seems the Aberdonian from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and the Clyde train from Glasgow are cancelled as the engines boiler is still in Germany and expected until mid July, pity they didn't have a loco on back up to still run the train. Looks like September for the first run sadly.

It wouldn't have mattered anyway, as all steam hauled trains are banned due to the high fire risk in the warm, dry weather.

It would seem there are steam hauled trains running, there are photographs on flickr of 70000 Britannia and 35018 British India Line both hauling mainline trains yesterday.
