I have copied the shed allocation of retford and so far can only work out what two of the types of loco are (B1 and O4). The other locos types I have different starting number for are 41779 (ivatt 2 I think) 58077 and 85
64188,234,321,402,759,830 and 906 and finally 69277 and 69300. I also plan to model other classes that passed or visited the shed (Retford 36E GN) Does anyone have any pictures or know where I can get more info Thanks Tom

Alas my lists are arranged by class!
So far I have J39s: 64759, 64830, 64906
64759, 64830: J39/1 and built at Darlington
64906: J39/2 and built by Beyer Peacock
It looks like the sub-class refers to the tender type.
I thought you might have some heavy freights in the list, but they look to be 63*** or were given LMR (O6) or ex-WD BR numbers (O7).
I'm guessing they're 0-6-0s - possibly ex-GCR types?
I'll post more as I find it...

You should use the Locoshed Index to get the allocation and an Ian Allan Combined Volume to get the classes. The combined volume should be easy enough to find on ebay or at a swapmeet, bookshop etc. They do reprints as well as original soiled copies.
This is the 1955 allocation.

I have underlined my cops which are mostly collected at York or Doncaster, so you can see that the B1s J39s and the O2s worked on the ECML up to York and Doncaster and the rest were probably on the GC shed.
