I am led to believe there is such a thing, I don't wish to go near the track, but into the now closed yard area at the back of the signal box in Inverkeilor. Any one know where I might get such a thing please?

There were, at least in the 1960s, as I knew someone who had one in the Lincoln area. However, the area in which the pass could be used was clearly defined.

These days, I bet it would be almost impossible to get one. First, there would be OH&S regulations to overcome. Then, insurance. And last, but not least, proving that you are not a terrorist whose real intention is to blow up trains. I understand that poor old trainspotters (if they still exist) are now banned from taking photos at certain stations.

They no longer exist. These days you would have to be escorted by a local manager, and you would have to convince them there was a jolly good reason.
