A similar one was done for the Great Train Robbery totally unnecessary and inappropriate.

Whilst on the one hand I can see where the model makers are coming from with the model. On the other hand as some of the comments in the feature say it's in completely the wrong place. This museum is angled more at the lighter side of railway modelling/ model making. A model of Auschwitz or any of the other camps Bergan-Belson etc would perhaps be more appropriately placed in some where like the Imperial War Museum or a museum dedicated to the horrors of the Holocaust. Like wise were there to be a model of the infamous "Burma Railway" it would be more suited to a "military/war" museum especially one dedicated to the horrors that were inflicted on the Allied and Indigenous Asian Population used as slave labour along the line.

2 years ago I discovered that I had a Jewish grandmother so just think: Goebbels could have washed his arse on soap made from one of my relatives.

Kinda puts it into perspective, really.

Yes, we should remember lest it happens again.

However, I also had an Uncle who worked on the Bridge on the River Kwai.

But playing trains on a model of these things? Hell to the power no.

If you'll excuse the black humour, I'd prefer to think that the soap ran into his eye and made it sting.

As 2392 says - it's in the wrong place.

Interesting chaps, I was informed last night that the guy who created the model has a shop opposite one of my jobs. I have to go and carry out a mod to one of the cranes on Tuesday so I will pop in and see whats happening and report back.
