Green Arrow is still at the Severn Valley Railway and is due to move to the East Lancs Railway this month.
The Rocket replica overhaul will be taking place at Bill Parker’s Flour Mill workshop in the Forest of Dean. No date is yet finalised for it to go.
In due course, Midland 158A built in 1866 will move to Shildon and 1924-built LMS 4F No 4027 is scheduled to come back to the NRM in a semi-dismantled state. Both have been on loan to the Midland Railway Centre, but we are recalling them.
Also returning in due course, is the 1896 Sharp Stewart 4-8-0 currently stored at Moveright International at Sutton Coldfield. This loco is going to feature in the “Empire” section of the NRM+ displays, but extensive restoration is needed first.
