Track measurement train over Settle-Carlisle
This Saturday throw up some interest on Settle Carlisle, A newly named class 43 trailing the New Track Measurement train over the Long Drag. Of course the real reason for being there was 60009 which was an hour late but on fine form. We had 3 cameras out the passing of Helwith bridge was in fine style and Ribblehead saw the long bast on th whistle that everyone knows. Thanks must go out to the support crew for what was a barnstroming run at Ais Gill.
The weather here is Baltic but so were the tank engines

I presume that was "John Armitt", then? I once bought the man it's named after a fish supper...Tom Quayle wrote:A newly named class 43 forming part of the New Track Measurement train over the Long Drag.
So - did anyone dare tell Stephenson, "It's not Rocket science"?

Don't know how they work, it isn't in service here, and only has the support coach and the extra 2 coaches, as the train started in hull, and came up on the 47.
