Melton constable survives but neither are melton constable.52D wrote:I spied that as well Redtoon but my guess is Melton Constable and Norwich. By the way does your username refer to a B17 and a class 66.
Unfortuantly norwich was demolished in 1991 i think and is now the site of Morrisons in Norwich.
My username is nothing to do with a Loco, my name is Mr Dace and my nearest large shed would of been Norwich (32A)

Thought you might be interested to learn that jpeg 11 on page 4 of this thread i think, has turned out not to be in Scotland at all but at Coxhoe in the Newcastle area. It turned up whilst browsing new books.
Now theres just some more to go.
Thanks to all who have given suggestions on the locations
Kind regards
Duncan

Re: Guess the Station
I shall be surprised if anyone guesses this one but no doubt someone will prove me wrong - again.
Re: Guess the Station
Is it a still open station?
I am going to go for a blind guess and say somewhere in Scotland.

Re: Guess the Station
No not in Yorkshire, but at least 6 passenger pick ups an hour in both directions are made at this station daily plus freight traffic on weekdays, I would say that was pretty busy.

Re: Guess the Station
Hello Redtoon,
Is is perhaps Hebburn (on Tyne), in (very) pre-Metro times. Thank you very much for the information on Gateshead East.
Regards,
Jonathan

It is pre Metro Hebburn.
Re: Guess the Station
It is deep in NER territory I think. But as to the name I still am not sure. A mill/mining town.
