Union Of South Africa 45 Minutes Early

Post by Ferrybridge Flyer »

Took my mum and uncle to see 'Union..' at Burn yesterday, only to be told there it had gone through 45 minutes early.Does anyone know why?I normally turn up an hour or so early, but couldn't expect my passengers to.Perfect blue skies too! :x

From what I've been told, it missed its stops at Babworth Loop and Doncaster (we don't know why) and so was very early by the time it got up to Temple Hirst.

It's been suggested that if you have a smartphone, you bookmark Realtime Trains. It is highly recomended for 'main line steam chasers'!

We missed her on her arrival into York however did get to see her being coaled outside the NRM and awaiting departure on the return run.

I've posted a link to my site on here http://khardy.zenfolio.com/p675606479 showing 60009 as well as sisters 4464, 4468, 4489 & 60008.

Cheers,
Kieran
