Excellent videos, Simon, and a superb rake of Gresley teaks. But was that a SPAD at 1min 40 sec? And why was the opposite direction signal off? I have never got to grips with GW signalling.

Thanks Bob,

I do believe that one of the platforms was locked out due to no trains needing to pass that evening at Hampton Loade & was therefore bi-directional.

Aha! So the signal at danger relates to the track alongside the train and not visible in the film. It becomes clearer!
