Battlefield Line Gala, 17th March

Post by Rlangham »

This weekend my local steam railway had two visiting London & South Western Railway locomotives - 2-4-0WT Beattie Well Tank 30585 and 4-4-0 T9 'Greyhound' 30120, the first time i've seen both locomotives. Both looked superb, and were backed up by the railway's home fleet of Aveling & Porter 'Blue Circle' of 1926, a 2-2-0WT of a much older design, and 'Sir Gomer' of 1932, an 0-6-0ST Peckett
