New film to depict Staplehurst Crash of 1865

Post by Rlangham »

Interesting image on Flickr taken on the Bluebell Railway - but even more interesting is the caption which states that a film is being made about Charles Dickens which depicts his life, including the 1856 Staplehurst Crash, and replica coaches have been used to depict the disaster, should be interesting to see, presume this is also why Furness Railway 20 was present on the railway for filming recently

Ahah, found it - 'The Invisible Woman', a film about Dickens' mistress. Ralph Fiennes makes a great Dickens!
