Place your bets the Christmas Dalesman Whats the locos

Post by Tom Quayle »

Mystery motive power is how it is avertised but what do people want or think will be on it.
48151, 6233, 45407 would be an anti-climax
60009, 30777, 6201, 76079 (with 45407) and 71000 have all pulled Dalesman
45407, 45231, 6024 and 34067 are in use oready that weekend

Heres thoughts I have and why:
71000-Has been out of traffic for a while
5690-Based at Bury, Close to start point (Hellifeild)
4953-Because it can't get a booking for toffee
62005-Will be at Carnforth for the Winter after Jacobite season (possible double up with 48151?)
and if we listern to whats said by WCRC inside men Hopefully Galertia.

Any thoughts.
The weather here is Baltic but so were the tank engines
Furness Railway and GCR fan.
125mph tilt vs 126.5mph duck

Guessing that rules out the following:
62005
61994
61264
60007

So that means
Ive ruled out 45407, 45231, 34067, 6024, 62005, 61994, 61264, 60007, 35028 (working Victoria-Guildford the preious thursday).

71000 is booked to work to York on the pervious sunday and being based at Bury (as are 5690 and 6201) is a prime candidate I think.

#19 is running Kings X to York and return the previous week so will be at the wrong end of the country, it is still possible but its a big possitioning move.

As for the second option As If

If its finished another option might be 44871
