Cor - it's like Christmas today!
Ay up!
I received no less than three parcels today:
1: A GC tender top box from Atlantic 3279
2: An Ebay purchase of "Thompson and Peppercorn, Locomotive Engineers"
3: Another Fleabay purchase, a Triang cemflo. I'm after a trainload of these...
Cor - talk about excitement. What do I do next?
Answers on a postcard, please!

tough choice all goes what region you model a P2 or W1 would be an amazing investment i feel that if the model is built nicely such as your great northern model (which by the way looks incredible) then the model will look splendid

Ay up, Wootang!
I've already built the Hush-Hush, it needs its gearbox sorted out! And has for some time. However, I've now got them so I must do it some time very soon.
Hmm. A P2. Totally wrong for the S & D layout then so is GN!

Ay up!
There are three rules to railway modelling:
1. It is my trainset and I will run what I like.
2. You may ask me about anything you see and I will answer truthfully.
3. If you do not like what you see, see rule 1.
Works for me!

I have never understood the one-upmanship in model railways. It seems very sad.
But some would say that running what you like on your railway is not railway modelling, but playing trains.
Be warned, you venture onto those message boards at your peril, especially if you dont have photos of the 2 inch gauge live steam "Big-Boy" you are currently scratchbuilding in brass.

Ay up, SS!
I stick to our little community and the LMS crowd, both of whom seem pragmatic and able to offer constructive criticism while allowing our little foibles.
Believe me, when running in public (after all, Mole End is intended to be an exhibition layout) I stick to things S & D. When at home...
...I can just play!
Had the trainset out this PM - a gaggle of 2-6-4Ts and an O4. Hardly S&D but, hey, its just for my enjoyment!
