Introduction to the Railway Chat Forum

Welcome to the Railway Chat forum.

This forum is for the discussion of all railway matters that do not relate to the LNER.

I realise that there's a lot of overlap and that discussion threads can wander, so I am not going to apply any strict moderation as to what is or is not LNER. Eg. I'm not going to move the recent 9F thread because it also related to York.

As a rough guide, I consider it to be LNER if it concerns the LNER, any of its constituent railways, or the respective BR area. So York in the 1960s or the Peppercorn A1s are both LNER!

The only other rules are the usual: No abuse, no swearing, keep it friendly. Assume there are kids reading.
