Railway Executive

Post by Pyewipe Junction »

Looking through a 1951 LMR timetable the other day, I happened to notice the names of the Railway Executive on page 1.

Amongst their number was a Mr Train!!

Ah - a case of "nominative determinism"! Send it to New Scientist - they collect them on the back page. They used to get so many that they cried "enough!" but have since bowed to the inevitable and still publish them every so often :-)

Richard,

Many years ago I attended a wedding in Swindon Town Hall. On the plaque listing the names of past mayors, I saw the name of Mr G.W.R. Lines.
