It's that time of year again and Santa has landed at the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway with trains running from Embsay to Bolton Abbey using visiting engine GWR 5643 and 'Darfield No.1'.

Full video coverage is available on the 'Steaming Around Britain's Preserved Railways 2010' DVD.

have a look in the waiting room display cases there are 0 scale model locos of the LMS types that worked the branch. We only worked through to Skipton with B16/1s or WDs.

The O Gauge locos are on display in the Buffet at Bolton Abbey (and all year round). They were (generously) donated by one of our supporters. As JB says, most of the locos you would have seen were LMS, but there were some LNER types, especially when there were excursions and diversions.
