I wouldn't fancy being a fireman on the second one -- it looks a bit of a leap between tender and footplate.

I think what happened there with The Junction sign looks like the designer just picked up a stock graphic of an engine, as per his brief from the brewery. Most of these guys are 20-somethings and wouldn't know a British design loco from anything else if you whacked them over the head with it.

For something of a basis for that statement, there's a little village newspaper not far from here called "The Pipestone Flyer" which serves a small village basically in the middle of nowhere. The logo for the paper is of a Midland compound. I'd bet my bottom dollar that this, too, was a stock graphic from an online image library, as I'm 99.9% sure that nobody in these parts of any age would ever have seen or even heard of such a locomotive.

That 'Jube' looks like a nice sign, though.

The Junction is over the road from the site of the former turntable, which might explain the turntable on it, but as for the loco!

Excellent post Mr Fox thats the spirit of the thread post the good uns and post the bad uns also post the off region ones as well. The one on the turntable looks like an 0-10-0 in apple green. Maybe Atlantic 3279 off the modelling thread can tell us if it is one of Sir Nigels might have beens.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
