A4 tribute

Just wanted to post this link to a You Tube video entitled 'A4 Tribute' - I know we never tire of seeing these videos, so . . .

What moved me to post this one, though, was the fact that it is the only video I've ever seen of my old lineside haunt, Langley Troughs. At 0:38, just after seeing 60025 Falcon on an up express passing through Knebworth, 60003 Andrew K. McCosh is seen heading a mixed goods on the down main over Langley Troughs. I was hoping the tank filler lid hadn't been secured and we'd see a good old fountain display, but no such joy. Anyway, enjoy the video.

I only remember Langley without the troughs, but I've always liked the burrowing junction and those lovely curves. Good video, pity there was no sound

While i was watching that,i was listening to "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen.Just felt perfect.

Just after 60003, I think Dominion of NZ, and Mallard, are seen from about 1/4 of the way back from Langley towards Knebworth, where the RH curve changes to a straight, heading south : I think the prominent parallel signals, which IIRC were parallel like those in the film, could the be Langley's Up Slow 'starter' (the semaphore), with Knebworth's latter-day, approach-lit colour light Up Fast distant signal.
