My wife was born in Langport in Somerset which had two stations,Langport East on the Paddington to Plymouth main line and Langport West on the Taunton to Yeovil branch both of which have long gone. Her father was the local coal merchant who had coal delivered by rail to Langport West. I would like to find out more about the railways around the town so are there any quality forums that cover the GWR
Thanks 50C

Re: Other forums
Absolutely sure there must be, given the popularity of the GWR. Suggest a Google? (Be ready for an avalanche!)

Re: Other forums
I did attempt a while ago to locate a GWR forum but the nearest I got was the Didcot site and a link off the UK steam info site.
I was trying to find out some details for our MACAW on the NYMR recently overhauled and painted into 50s engineers Black.
Work involved shotblasting, painting, reflooring then final painting and hand lettering.
This vehicle used to be paired with the 15 ton Coles crane that worked in BREL York until the mid 80s

These are more concerned with vehicles that still exist on the system
