Yes you are correct jj but long before my time.

Even though I spent a short bit of time in the loco at Stratford during most of 1979 I must say I never felt much at home on the GE being a GN man :wink:

When I returned to the signalling grade at the start of 1980 at Victoria Park (Hackney Wick) it was an all right box (a London Midland Region design box dating from the early 1960s) and I stayed at the box as a resident signalman for about twenty months until applying for an 'Inter regional transfer' to the London Midland Region towards the end of 1981.
Original start date of 2010 on the LNER forum and previously posted 4500+ posts.
