I’m also looking for a good photo of Madoqua as I’m building an OO gauge example. I’ve found a couple of poorest quality photos in ‘The Book of the Great Northern part one’ pages 26 and 29, and there’s a photo for sale on eBay of her in LNER livery, but I haven’t found a good detail shot of her in mid fifties condition.
Did you ever find one?

BI s often ran head boarded expresses on the G.C. in the 1950 s,although the M.C. was usually a V2.
