If I'm seeing it correctly, It's only two Rs ("Februray") ....

As I said, it's often down to modern ways of working - what's seen on the screen is often what one *expects* to see, not always what's actually there. "
Indeed, it's a simple transposition of the A and the second R, very easy during rapid keyboard work, but it would've been hoped that some kind of 'smellchuck' ( :) ) would have flagged it up or auto-corrected it.

And so on... ..... "
Indeed, "1H was 2E", I (a Euston station announcer, 1972-4) agree.
Now even some favourite old sayings are getting twisted by the ignorant : Anyone been lately to be judged to be an 'escape goat' (scapegoat), or a 'bowl in a china shop' (bull in a,... etc.) ? [Thanks, Dave Gorman, for highlighting those.]
Picked up on any good TV quiz or comedy show 'catphrases' recently (catchphrase) ?
Or made any 'mute points' (moot point), or done anything 'on the spurt of the moment' (spur ...), or become 'boggled down' (bogged down) ? (see http://chronicle.com/article/Like-a-Bow ... hop/46736/ for more).
Even occasional pronunciation by some BeebBeebCeeb news presenters is going a bit off course : "Tyew stretches of the M25 are closed at the mayment" (two, and moment), but there's a good service on all lines of the 'cheeb' (tube).

For more of these kind of malapropisms take a look at “Damp Squid: The English Language Laid Bare” by Jeremy Butterfield (OUP, 2010).

I wonder if the person responsible for Greater Anglia's engineering poster and London Overground's platform end signs has ever done any work for Pendle Housing? It looks as though they might!

To be fair though, it's the kind of mistake a spoil chucker wouldn't pick up.

I wonder if they can exorcise my Border Collie. She can be a bit of a devil at times.

Might I add some useful advice to Richard's post? Should you plan to do this, as with the method for curing fits in cats, it's best to do it outside ...
