Greetings all!
I've just joined this very informative site so I thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm 47y.o. married for 10 years, no kids and living in the NW of England, previously I lived in Derby, France and also travelled around a lot.
Not much LNER influence, you might think? Apart from my Grandma lived near Little Bytham overlooking the ECML, seeing "Flying Scotsman" on her return trip from the USA and a great dear departed friend who was a big fan.
In Derby, two houses I used to live in overlooked the Great Northern railway (remains!) and I once worked in the old GNR railway warehouse at Friargate - I now live in Lowton, whose station was Lowton St. Mary on the Great Central.
Plus, coming from Derby, I used to get sick & tired of having "Midland" shoved down my throat at the local club!
I did once model LNER, I lived in France at the time (20+ years ago) and had a kit-built J6 and an assortment of various RTR items, eventually I was seduced into modelling overseas railways, still do really (sorry!).
Well, that's about it, really!
Cheers,
John E.
Good afternoon!

Re: Good afternoon!
Welcome also to the land of "the Johns".
Any Little Bytham memories/recollections, however insignificant they may seem, would be most welcome.
