Little Driver Under Construction

Post by richard »

We have some news: we're expecting out first child!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zrdtp104fPs

Due date: mid-October. The attached image and the above movie are from last Thursday.

Rumour has it that William Hill are taking bets as to whether the first words will be "Streak" or "Gresley" :-)

Congratulations!

Richard,

I am really "chuffed" for you and your partner, this is excellent news. :D

Kids are great fun, you can even take them on train journeys, so enjoy and good luck. 8)

If the baby is male, will you be putting down a case of vintage port to be given him at his 21st? or will you be content to keep him on the rails and sticking to the timetable?

I reckon junior's first word will be a rather well known LNER duck !?!??

Bad news, I'm afraid. We lost the baby on Tuesday afternoon. Jane Elizabeth was born at 20 weeks 10 oz, and did not live long.

Thank you all for your notes of sympathy and condolence. It has been a difficult week. We're off for a quiet couple of days later this week.
